Largest hail reported: 3.10 inches (larger than a baseball) south of Brandon in Kiowa County. 25 hail reports logged across 8 counties over the two days, 18 of them on September 20 alone.

The First Week Checklist
- Photograph everything from the ground, including gutters, screens, decks, AC units and vehicles.
- Note the storm date and time.
- Make reasonable temporary repairs and keep the receipts.
- Read your deductible - many Colorado policies now use a percentage wind and hail deductible, not a flat dollar amount.
- Report the claim. Facts only, no dollar guesses.
- Have a licensed public adjuster inspect before the carrier's adjuster does.
