Why We Ask For All Of This

Every field on this form is something a carrier will eventually ask about, and answering it now is what lets us tell you something useful on the first call instead of the third. The date of loss decides which deadlines are already running. The carrier and claim number let us see what has been filed. What the carrier paid or refused, and the wording they used, is usually where the argument is won - a denial that cites one exclusion is a different problem from a settlement that is simply short.

What You Do Not Need Yet

Do not chase paperwork before you send this. You do not need the full policy, a contractor's estimate, an engineer's report, or photographs from the roof. If we need them we will tell you which ones and why, and most of the time we can pull the policy from your carrier ourselves once you have engaged us. Do not get on a ladder or a roof to document anything.

What Happens Next

  • A licensed public adjuster reads what you sent - not a form-filling assistant.
  • We come back with whether we think there is money left on the claim, and what we would do first.
  • If it is worth pursuing, we send an engagement agreement that states the fee before you sign anything.
  • If it is not, we say so. We would rather tell you that than take a file that owes you nothing.

Cost

The review is free. There is no upfront fee, ever. We are paid a percentage of what we recover for you, so we are not paid unless you are. Colorado's rules put the fee in the client contract, in writing, before any work begins.
